Chamber Music

As a violinist in the Argus Quartet, chamber music is central to my musical life. One of my favorite things is sharing my love of chamber music with students of all ages!

I have directed the String Chamber Music Intensive at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp and coached chamber groups at festivals and schools across the country, including:

  • University of Northern Iowa (with Argus Quartet)

  • Virginia Arts Festival (with Argus Quartet)

  • PhoenixPhest! Chamber Music Festival (cancelled due to COVID-19)

  • Pioneer High School Orchestra Camp (at Interlochen Center for the Arts)

Collaborations with Composers

A central part of my work both individually and with the Argus Quartet and escapeVelocity involves collaborating with composers. I have commissioned dozens of works and premiered hundreds more. I am particularly interested in the collaborative process of working directly with composers, and find that there is always a lot to learn from having an open dialogue with composers when preparing to perform or record their music.

To this end, I happily accept submissions of works for consideration for performance. If you are a composer interested in having your work recorded, please contact me.
